THE "GILLY" AWARD

With great sorrow, the Brookville Wrestling family says goodbye to one of their finest. Jason Gilligan's friendship to the wrestling community will be sorely missed. Jason was a 1999 graduate from Brookville High School and was a member of the Lock Haven wrestling team for 5 years. Following college, Jason was the head wrestling coach at Palisades High School for four years. He was honored last year with his induction into the District IX Wrestling Hall of Fame. Jason's contributions to the sport of wrestling and to the Brookville program were indeed priceless, Jason leaves behind great memories for friends, teammates, coaches and fans.

In 2010, in memory of Jason Gilligan, the Ultimate Duals Committee and the Brookville Raider Mat Club created the "Gilly" Award to honor Jason's determination and team leadership on the wrestling mat. Jason's competitive nature and work ethic help defined his career as a Raider wrestler. Here are the Past Winners of the "Gilly" Award:

The first "Gilly" Award was presented to Jason's Wife Jackie & Son Liam and Parents Jere & Janie Gilligan.
